  • The Lost Little Puppy

    Leah Zeibdawi

    Paperback (lulu.com, July 7, 2010)
The story of the Lost Little Puppy is much more than a story about a girl and her dog. From a child's eye, the book explores the fear and helplessness associated with discovering a loved one has a serious illness. The book has managed to express the child's perspective of the bewildering sequence of events; from diagnosis, treatment, remission, and finally death. At the same time it conveys that beyond a tragic diagnosis, there is still much in life, including love, achievement, recognition, renewal, and finally legacy. Young children that read this book will come to know that beyond grief, happiness may once again return. This book is aimed at children 3-7 as an introduction to the topic of loss; whether it be of a cherished pet, or of a loved one
